The Richest People in Cryptocurrency

Richest people in cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are creating a lot of money for investors, some of which have made billions from their investments.

Of course, finding an abundance of wealth in this fairly new market (and maintaining it) isn’t without its challenges.

However, a few smart business people have proved that the cryptocurrency market is one that more of us need to start paying attention to.

In this blog post, we take a closer look at five of the wealthiest people in cryptocurrency and how they were able to transform themselves into billionaires.

5. Brian Armstrong

Brian Armstrong is a 35-year-old CEO of Coinbase, an open financial system and digital-currency exchange company. He is a huge advocate for the cryptocurrency sphere and often educates others on the subject with live conferences and workshops. He dreamed of being a tech guru and became interested in Bitcoin in 2010 and soon built his fortune with help from Coinbase. He now has over $900 million in cryptocurrency.

4. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss

These twin brothers have a combined crypto fortune of $900 million to $1.1 billion. They’re both savvy internet entrepreneurs and even competed in the rowing event in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. They launched Winkdex in 2014, which is software that tracks bitcoin prices and then, in 2015, they launched Gemini, which is a digital-currency exchange company.

3. Changpeng Zhao

Changpeng is the founder of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Binance. With over six million users worldwide, it’s no wonder Changpeng has made such an impressive fortune in cryptocurrency. He’s got over $2 billion in crypto wealth, which is expected to continue to rise as Bitcoin grows over the next ten years.

2. Joseph Lubin

Joseph Lubin is a successful entrepreneur from Canada. He has founded a number of companies, including the blockchain platform Ethereum. He invested in cryptocurrency in the early years of its release because he believed that shared infrastructure such as that would be a great “organising principle” for the world. His net worth stands somewhere between $1bn to $bn.

1. Chris Larsen

The wealthiest name in crypto currency today is currently Chris Larsen, the co-founder of Ripple, a company that facilitates international payments for banks. Chris has a massive cryptocurrency net worth of up to $8 billion and is thought to be the richest man in the industry. He’s also the founder of e-Loan, which is an online mortgage lender. He owns a number of other companies including Prosper and is seen as a serial entrepreneur.

Bitcoin has taken the world by storm and proved to be an incredibly worthwhile investment if you know what you’re doing. Of course, most of us can only dream of making billions from the cryptocurrency market, but there’s no telling whether or not Bitcoin will continue to grow or if it will plummet and leave a lot of people (including those on this list) down and out!
